ozark trout fisher Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Glad I was never young Young doesn't equal beyond stupid/drunk/behaving illegally. I am tired of the "kids will be kids" narrative. I'm one of those dreaded "college age" people and I don't act like that, and furthermore have no desire to. You either are a self-absorbed jerk or you aren't, at whatever age you may be. End of story.
Gavin Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Can't say that anyone can expect solitude around Onandaga. Thousand or more outfitter boats hit that water on a warm weekend. Looks they are having fun and heck if the fishing stinks..go look for something else. Bet that anyone of you could have a good time with that bunch.
BATCAB27 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Ok for you that have never seen anything interesting ( this is a child friendly forum ) go to you-tube type in Girls of Havasu 1 and enjoy... A pontoon with a stripper pole.....pure genius
fishinwrench Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 A pontoon with a stripper pole.....pure genius Yeah well, bass boat manufacturers beat them to that one a long time ago with front AND rear units standard on all models, but then all YOU lazy idiots could think to do was slap seats on top of them !
Mark Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 QUESTION: Does the BULL radio station make any $$ on their event? If so, I have a huge problem with that.
Justin Spencer Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 QUESTION: Does the BULL radio station make any $$ on their event? If so, I have a huge problem with that.I'm sure they make plenty on the advertising for the event, like all other businesses their goal is to make money. Brian Jones Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 But I don't believe that a large group of young kids on a float trip necessarily equals criminals. We've all seen it. Just pull over and wait a half hour and they are out of your hair. It was estimated that this year's float had around 5,000 ploaters. They're not gonna be out of your hair in a half hour.
Greasy B Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 According to Wikipedia a typical person expels 1-2 Liters per day depending on hydration activity levels etc. It’s a fair assumption that most of these folks will be plenty hydrated. That comes to about 2600 gallons of piss. Good lord, for the life of me I can’t imagine why anyone would enjoy wallowing in such filth. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974

At 350 cfs that is 2618 gallons per second of water, so a days worth of urine equals less than one second of water flow, doubt it has much impact. Feathers and Fins Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I just reread this thread and just really have to sit here and ask this question? This is a State Park do you get that? A place that is suppose to be safe and friendly for everyone, Yet they KNOW that activities about to happen will offend people enough they posted the sign. YOU WOULD NEVER see this at a public park, or downtown event as the police would be hauling them off to jail wholesale fashion. So why should a state park one who's very mission statement talks about law enforcement? I say line up the cruisers and start loading the backs up with anyone breaking the law, if the activity wouldn't be allowed anyplace else it shouldn't be here. There is no condoning the activity or the actions of the state park. Put a cop at the entry and let them know there will be ZERO tolerance and arrest will be made. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
