Guest Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 It's hard enough to sell a home in this housing market. We finally have a potential buyer that walked our property last Friday. I got a call from the real estate agent today. Guess what he asked? "What's with the tents down near the creek? These folks don't feel safe knowing there are people living on the creek. Do you know when they're leaving" I've spent the better part of 5 months waiting on a buyer, only to have the deal fall thru because of squatters.
fishinwrench Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Good grief! Times have sure changed. WTH has become of Arkansas folk ?
KCRIVERRAT Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Holy crap Chicken Little. Get ahold of Bill. Hire the Black Mamba. Problem solved. Seriously... have you witnessed them cooking? Sores all over them? Seen any Mexicanos wearing cowboy boots with a silver skull on the toe? Sounds like your Sheriff pretty much sucks, but you're not alone. Chief Grey Bear Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I didn't see anywhere in the last 4 pages where anyone was beaten down. if anything you guys were ridiculing trophy about his situation. trophy is the victim here, WAKE UP CHEF( yes that is on purpose) First point in debate, purposely misspelling names causes you to loose all credibility. The following is all from Trophy in his words. Ive got squatters living down by the creek. They are the "neighbor's helper." It was supposed to be a weekend camp out, that's turned into a homeless camp. (they lied to my face) Now, They're eating all the fish, pooping in the woods, peeing in the water. My dogs are up all hours of the night barking & my wife is scared to death. There's nothing I can do, bc they aren't on my land & we live in the country. Any ideas on how to get rid of them? be thankful they arent your neighbors, (while you try to sell your house.) you're welcome to offer them refuge at your place. white, toothless, meth heads this is a big concern, I believe they're hiding out for some reason. Wrench, They showed our place on Saturday & tent city was in full effect. I hope the rain kept the buyers & real estate agent from going all the way down to the creek. Their camp is setup right along the entry trail down into the creek, along the property line. They're setup about 10 yards from my property line but its very visible. Hell, I might as well go down there and get them to "say cheese" to the camera! LOL, Andy When that stuff starts, it will be the beginning of the end for their "camping trip" Free rent, a plethora of deer & fish along with the scenery. Who wouldn't like it? I'm more annoyed by the fact that they setup right over the main deer trail. So my deer are taking a new route. Gotta find a place to hunt. Not what I wanted to see right before bow season. I've been planning to hang my new deer stand for weeks. Not to mention the fact that he admitted to eating our smallmouth last week. It's a small creek & that kind of fish harvest will kill this stretch of creek. I've spoken to them twice & the neighbor once. They promised me it was camping, not squatting. They're meatheads, I will pass judgement every time. If they start feigning for dope, it would be easy for them to start stealing. For their dope habit. It's all about respect & they know I'm trying to sell, they know I hunt back there, they know I patrol the area & don't tolerate bulls*** So, they know it's overboard. There's nothing I can do to make them leave. If I p*** off the neighbor by arguing over it, it starts a neighbor war. I don't want them to show me what they can do with their land. Likewise, I don't feel like fighting them over it. It's a no win situation. The squatters have been warned. I let them know about all these problems upfront. I'm not a passive a aggressive type that waits until the s*** hits the fan. I deal with conflict head on. They know my stance. So it is what it is. Bikes Blues & BBQ is coming up, maybe I can rent out all of my land to bikers & have a big rowdy campground. Rev the motors all hours of the night, shoot fireworks, blast the heavy metal, crank up the generators & let em run for days. If I so inclined, but we'll see what happens when the cold weather hits. I can wait them out. I'm in the wrong for profiling them? Put the shoe on the other foot & see how you would feel about the situation. If some of yall want to be methhead sympathizers, go ahead. I don't need credible evidence, this isn't the court of law or a crime scene. They're crack heads I don't need any proof. I'm not politically correct, I call it like I see it. I prayed about it, so I'm not going to worry about it anymore. The negativity of this is too much, so I need to move on, get back to fishing . Mitch f Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Something to ponder: If you were suddenly (as in overnite) broke and without shelter or motorized transportation, how quickly do you think you could rebound to a comfortable and reasonably debt-free state of living ? It happens every day, look at all the "file for bankruptcy" households in the last 10 years. Not many of them were living out in the street. If needed, I know for a fact that local Churches house and feed the poor and help them get back on their feet. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

Chief Grey Bear Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Are you denying those are your words? Those are your exact quotes. Nothing more, nothing less. Guest Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 You have no clue who I prayed for but you assumed it wasn't for them. That's twisting it to fit your agenda. They can live with you, just post your address.
Quillback Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Didn't take long for this thread to go down the "you said" rat hole.
