What a jacka**. Acting like he never saw the video from inside the elevator. Yeah right. Even if he didn't, what did he think happened in there? I was actually kind of surprised when I saw the video, I thought it would be worse. I got a feeling Roger is done.

I love how this country jumps all over any public figure when they pull a bonehead move. Please don't take me as a Goodell backer, I don't care about him at all.

But why aren't we mad at the justice system for letting this punk walk? If it was a regular guy he would be in jail. But if you are a rich celebrity you can pretty much do anything. Right OJ?

I thought it would be worse too. No excuse for it, but the nfl won't suffer people will still watch games, tired of all the media crap.

I don't know exactly what happened after the punch/dragging that night. I heard they were both given misdemeanors. I dont think anybody went to jail. I guess if she had pressed charges Ray would be looking at some jail time.

I'll jump all over Goodell for making a bonehead move. Dude makes millions of dollars to not make bonehead moves. He covered this up, and for what?

I have actually followed the case.

1st Bother were originally arrested for simple assault-domestic, http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/bal-ray-rice-arrest-incident-report-pdf-20140216,0,4649635.htmlpage

2nd The charges against his then fiancée now wife were dropped and they charged him with Felony assault.

3rd The state has a first time intervention program RR applied and was accepted to, if he follows through with his agreement with the DA then all charges are dropped.

4th the NFL and Ravens already penalized him and there is no way they hadn't seen this video I ain't buying Rogers Bullcrap for one minute on this one.

5th Rice did tell the NFL, Ravens and Media what happened he admitted to everything its on plenty of videos. What did the NFL think happened when the man admitted to it.

Now on to my personal feelings; ( After seeing the second video, to me it appeared she charged him and was the aggressor and he hit her in self defense. ) I know everyone says a man should never hit a woman, but I have seen women become more physical than a man and in domestic altercations, to me if anyone is attacking you, their sex is no longer an issue and if self defense is warranted so be it. I spoke to my cousin on this as well who is now a retired police officer and he said the worse domestics and most dangerous were always the woman when she was the aggressor as well.

Rice should have been suspended longer had the NFL wanted to send a message certainly, but what they are doing now IMO is opening up a Giant Law Suit against them and rightfully so. Roger needs to step down and do it now!

I find it hard to believe he's stupid enough to sit there and repeatedly lie through his teeth, but what do I know?

It'll be interesting to see if the whole story plays out like it's being reported at the moment. Stories do have a tendency to evolve. Not calling into question the journalistic integrity of TMZ, just saying it's early.

If NFL was a public company, Roger would be gone already. Since they're not, it's going to come down to how resilient they are to the media and public opinion firestorm. They're not responsible for the actions of the players off the field, but it's sure gonna feel like they are. We might even get congressional hearings out of this one. Who's that one senator that has taken a bold stand against beating up and raping women?

I tend to agree. Should the suspension been longer...off course, but is that a reason to fire him? A cover up would be a different story.

There is a double standard in the NFL when it comes to punishment depending on what you have done. I know now the girl beating puss has been suspended indefinitely now after video evidence but, before it was just two games.

So a Black man knocks a woman out and drags her body around like a sack of shiot....two games

A White dude Richie Incognito allegedly hazes a grown Black man an gets suspended for whole season.....I'm not saying Richie isn't an asshole but, lets just say don't mess with Blacks or Homosexuals in the NFL you will pay dearly.

I love to watch the NFL other than Ram's games but, it is a league with a ton of hoodrats and loosers that are straight up criminals.....kinda like the NBA back in the 90's.......I still like watching though.

Goodell won't be done. It takes something of really mammoth proportions to force out a major pro sports commish who doesn't want to leave. This is just further evidence that he's a jackwagon, which we already knew.

Bottom line: I enjoy the NFL, but I know what I'm watching. There are some high character guys out there but I know that off the field many of the players that I cheer for on a given Sunday are doing crap that's worse than one would care to imagine. This is catching our attention because there's video, but you know this kind of thing happens all the time.

I guess the point is, it's a fun game, but people who idolize the players are doing everyone a diservice. These are just guys that are playing a sport that encourages violence/anger/everything else that goes hand in hand with disgusting situations like this whole Ray Rice thing. It's why it never surprises me all that much when I hear about one of my favorite players (pro or college) doing something that sickens me. Take a look at DGB for further evidence.
