Quillback Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 that's a good looking jig, do you want to elaborate? I haven't seen that color skirt but it matches the hatch. Who makes that jig trailer? It's a 1/2 oz War Eagle FB in color "Pond Scum Perch". Missile Baits Twin Turbo trailer in green pumpkin.
fishingaddiction Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Hunter, Thanks for the advise. Sounds like your describing a fluke style bait, which I like to fish. Will give it a go, and report any results. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
abkeenan Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 QB, Missile Baits is fast becoming one of my favorite companies out there. Their prices are in the middle of the road per pack with the other brands but their plastic is so soft it is unreal. Really imparts a lively action on the baits. Hate to give up one of my new go to baits but the D-Bomb is "the bomb" for me. I frickin' lovem' and so do the fish. They are fantastic on a wobblehead.
fishingaddiction Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Thanks for the input on Missile Baits. I haven't used any of their products, but may give them a try. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
Champ188 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 There's a decent selection of them at Cabela's, addiction. Should be handy for you since you're in Rogers. HLS may also have them. Not sure.

These trailers are pretty durable, I put a Strike King Rage Chunk on a jig today, caught a 12' spot, after releasing the fish, looked at the chunk and both claws were gone. The Missile Baits are good for multiple fish.
Members gatorbitu Posted September 26, 2014 Members Posted September 26, 2014 Very nice! Congrats on the catch.

fishingaddiction Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Champ: Thanks for the info about Cabelas having Missile baits. I live about a mile from the store, really too close as I tend to go in there too often......$$$! Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
Champ188 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 You're welcome, addiction. Hope you find some good stuff.
