Members boatgasandminnows Posted September 25, 2014 Members Posted September 25, 2014 Finally getting some free time in the next couple weeks and want to come down to Bull Shoals to do some fishing with my fishing partner, the wife We normally fish Stockton, but went to Bull Shoals about 3 years ago and have been wanting to get back down there. Can anybody suggest a good place to stay ? I have my own boat, so would need a place to launch, a place to charge up the battieries, and a nice place to stay. Thanks for any suggestions.

aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 We always stay at the Sugarloaf Inn at Diamond city 50-65 per night depending on if you want a kitchen or cabin. (870)422-7144).You can back your boat right in front of your room and plug in at night. I like my boat being close to me. Owners are very nice. Not fancy, but clean. The launch ramp is 1/4 mile from them. And there is a great place for breakfast within walking distance. There are a few resorts in the Diamond City area all are pretty equal in cost.
Members boatgasandminnows Posted September 26, 2014 Author Members Posted September 26, 2014 Smally doesnt really matter,,,,,,,,aarchdale that is where we stayed last time and yes the owners are very nice! Was a great place to stay,,, but sorta like fishing..... hate to go to the same place everytime With this being only our second time down there was just wondering where else there might be a place like that..... in another area of the lake.
Ron Burgundy Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Wagon Wheel Resort at Peel is a good place to stay and their resturant has good food.... Gone but not forgotten Martin Ford
Wayne SW/MO Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 I've heard good things about this place. It's too close to home for me to have stayed there however and I have no personal information. http://www.tmrbullshoals.net/lodging/ Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Members lollygagger1 Posted September 27, 2014 Members Posted September 27, 2014 Northside of the Ferry at Buck Creek.Just north of Public use area. Forget the name,(Lakewoods ?) Charge batteries at the room or you can rent a slip. Good fishing in both directions.....
mixermarkb Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 I've been staying at TMR since I was a kid. It's a great place to stay, clean rooms, cookies restraunt, nice marina- the Cooks are good people
packersooner Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 I will second the Lakewoods suggestion. Kevin and Sandy are good people. Jason
navery Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 I have a friend that rents their lakehouse out on VRBO.com Just search for Forsyth,Mo. It us very nice, fully furnished and 150 yards from powersite dam. The closest ramps are river run (3 miles away) and lower taneycomo ramp(1 mile away). It is set up to rent the upper level, bottom level, our both. We always catch some fish around that area. Good luck!
