Troutnut69 Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 This last week I loaded up the truck and Joe and I headed up the Driftless area for several days of relaxation and fishing. I make this trip every year and it has become one of my favorite places to spend some time on the water. We hit things just right this year and the weather was fantastic! The crowds were non-existent as always and the fish cooperated enough to keep a smile on my face most of the day. No big fish...just small bows , browns and brookies in some of the most beautiful creeks in the midwest. Needless to say we had a great time! Full TR on my blog for anyone interested... http://highplainsflyfisher.blogspot.com/
ness Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Nice write up. I saw some familiar places in those pics. John
Jeff Tief Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Looks like a great trip-a whole lot better than those combat fishing trips we have made to Wisconsin for the fall salmon run.Reminds me of some of the small streams we fished for warmwater species as kids. Thanks for the show!
ColdWaterFshr Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 I love reading your reports and looking at all the pictures, not just of the fish and scenery . . . . but also the food. You guys know how to eat!
Terrierman Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 There's a lot of wisdom showing in that old dog's eyes. Awesome trip BTW.
tho1mas Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Nice report. Getting old is not for sissies (I know).
