I don't know about the cafe? I suppose the park might want it if it's cheap enough. They would just tear it down and hold the land.

I don't know how much land is between the entrances, but the park has wanted all they can get in the past. When they bought the hollow that comprised the old ranch they got land past the natural bridge.

Sounds like a mess.

There would likely be some notification requirements -- not just expecting the owner to tell everybody. Like publishing it in the local paper a certain number of times and a certain number of days in advance. Even though nobody reads that stuff, you'd think word would get around before the last day. Sounds like there's more to be learned about this situation.

More charges? Hmmm......

This is a canpground where most of the units were semi permanent with storage and sometimes covers and decks. Getting a notice to move in a hurry wouldn't be pratical for many. I suspect one problem facing the IRS is determining what belongs to the campground and what doesn't. I'm sure they're attitude is that it all belongs to the CG unless proven otherwise.

I just got this from a Guy on another Forum.

I got the call from the IRS yesterday around noon yesterday. They said driveway would be chained at 5 pm this evening.

The IRS person I talked to was really decent.

She told me they were supposed to stop collecting rent in July when the court order came out. However circle j collected july, aug, and sept rent from me.

IRS said i would be allowed on the property to winterize my camper, however i could not drive to the trailer or remove the trailer after 5pm this evening.

IRS also said the trailer is still mine. I can move after there is a new owner of the campground or i can possibly rent the space from the new owner. Hopefully the sale goes well in November and it is a quick transaction.

Hmmm. This guy has know it was coming for a long, long time. Awful considerate of him to say he's sorry for all the people that are affected, but.... So, his story is he couldn't get anybody to tell him the exact amount? IRS wouldn't work with him?

You gotta feel for those people that got tangled up in this.

I'd bet we could get a few bucks raised right here on OA for the veteran Everett Thompson. I'd be in for $50. Anybody else?

oneshot -- do you think you could be the courier?

Thinking they did not pay the payroll taxes that they withheld from their employees pay checks. The penalties are high for that. Easy way to lose your business.
