merc1997 Bo Posted October 4, 2014 Author Posted October 4, 2014 the snatrix had a snake type tail instead of a g-tail. bo
fishingaddiction Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Culprit makes all sizes of snake tail worms. Don't see them in many retail locations anymore. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
Sore Thumbs Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Thank you Champ. I forgot you were sponsored by Zoom. Ha
Champ188 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Sure wish someone made a copy of the old Ditto Baby Gator Tail. It was a 5-inch worm and one of the best flippin' worms ever.
merc1997 Bo Posted October 6, 2014 Author Posted October 6, 2014 Sure wish someone made a copy of the old Ditto Baby Gator Tail. It was a 5-inch worm and one of the best flippin' worms ever. it sure was champ, and we caught lots of bass at night on the blue with white tail back in the day. put on a big sinker and rumble them down through the cedars. on further fishing note, the spinner bait bite has went away. there are still some bass around, but they are only biting something pretty small. i have been taking a 7 inch ring worm and pinching the first have of the body off, and putting it on the 1/8 crappie jig, and that has been catching plenty of bass, but have to sort through several to get a keeper. bo
abkeenan Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Sounds very Neddish Bo. LOL. I was thinking the same thing.
merc1997 Bo Posted October 7, 2014 Author Posted October 7, 2014 could be what you call nedish . but, i just might be fishing with a better jig . it is something that mike sowders and i used to do all the time, but we used a t-rig. there are just times that bass want a very small offering. i did change out my 4lb. mono for some 14lb. braid. got a bit more horse power to get some better ones out of a tree if needed. fished a different area of the lake last night and the blade bite was back on. ended up with 7 keeps with one around 4 lb. same scenario, where there was lots of minnows on the bank, there would be bass. caught an awful lot of shorts, so, it was a fun evening. bo
bluebasser86 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Mann's Hardnose snake is the closest thing I've found to the Snatrix.
Champ188 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Very close, indeed. I googled hi and lo for just a pic of the 8-inch Snatrix and struck out.
