ness Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Good looking pup, wrench. Fun times ahead. I spent the weekend down at Roaring River with family, and my nephew brought his new yellow lab. Very smart, very well-behaved dog! John
Troutnut69 Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 From the looks of those feet and head he's gonna be a horse!! Great looking pup , the best friend a man can have and if you ask me ,the best fishing partner as well.
Andy & JoAnne Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Congrats...great looking dog. Good luck on the training. Some pups come to their own early and are easily trained. I hope "nameless" trains easily for you. Send us update pics as he goes through the stages.
fishinwrench Posted October 27, 2014 Author Posted October 27, 2014 We started calling him Orion, looks like it's going to stick. He makes sure that I do plenty of star gazing late at night. Other than his short naps and frequent trips out to romp he has been really easy and a lot of fun. He is going along on a white bass trip tomorrow and I predict he'll sleep through much of it.
bfishn Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 My last dog died shortly after my divorce. I sure miss that old dog. Look at all the stuff you can blame on the dog now. :-) I can't dance like I used to.

Start them young. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Terrierman Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Orion is a good name. Almost as good as Ralph. Nothing better than a puppy, and a Yellow Lab at that - one that has the look. And he does. Best to you and Orion, may you have many many many wonderful days together and the memories that transcend what a man and dog do on their own and only come with that tie that binds. Cool looking pup. Keep him healthy and safe.
fishinwrench Posted October 28, 2014 Author Posted October 28, 2014 Thanks to all. Hope all of you get a chance to pet him and have your tire pissed on at one point or another.
fishinwrench Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 Orion did good on his first trip. No hooks in paws and no doodles in the boat. Good Boy!
