Thanks to my job I have met some awesome airbrush artists. Not guys that paint t-shirts, true artists. One thing they all have in common is that they all use stencils. Some are bought stencils, some are things like hair picks, some are custom made stencils, but they all use them.

I think it is the way to go Ness. Many possibility's. Dremel out a chamber for a rattle? I'm working one up for a spinning rod too. I'm not into that much anymore but I have a friend who I think will throw it. It will be a popper wit two trebles. If it turns out I will share a picture,

Did one a while back with a weight towards the back. Just messing around though -- nothing's made it to paint yet.

You're right, I will be amazed if you ever get yours done.

(See what I did there?)

Ness Ronnie is so busy with all the irons he has in the fire. I for one think he will make a statement when he gets one done. Ha I may have to leave him something at the fly shop to hold him over.

Yeah, yeah. I know. When he cranks one out its a thing or beauty. He knows his stuff.

For me, my basement is such a freakin mess I can't get anything done til it's fixed.

Thank you guys but I get nervous when people start trying to be nice to me.

I've been working on a body for quite a while. I'm on my 6th or 7th attempt and usually carry it in my pocket. This has been going on for 9 maybe 10 months. But it has to be right before I can move on to step two. My first one was probably the closest to what I was looking for but I smashed it with a hammer.

I need to get busy.

A man that spends 10 months making a fly is absolutely guaranteed to decorate a tree with it. So you might wanna trade the hammer for a hatchet.

Dude every fly I tie has a better than average chance of being lost on the very next cast. Probably higher than 80%. Ask Trigg, he still won't take me since I blew through all his flies last time.

Besides I haven't been working on it for 10 months. It's a off/on thing. Actually I talked to Woody about it summer before last on the Big Piney, so that's more like 15 months. :) But if I can pour my own foam bodies then it will all be worth it. At least I hope so.

foam, Foam, FOAM ? What is that you say ? Blasphemy! Foam has no place in the home made popper world! HA :)

And to think you are my popper hero,
