Went across Stout Creek around 1 pm, ice on the pool at 21 bridge in Ironton. Took the dogs for a walk at the golf course, the 3 ponds had a skim of ice. And winter is over a month away.

Shhhhh !

I still have boats to winterize. Yikes!

it sort of shocked me wrench. Especially considering Monday was in the upper 60s. I guess 4 days of temps not pushing much above 32 and lows in the teens get the shallows cooled down very quick.

I drove to Kansas City & back yesterday & today. half of the cattle ponds & small creeks were about to ice over totally. that surprised me a bit.

The stretch from Joplin to KC was my favorite area. Lots of geese & deer in those corn & soy bean fields. Its flatter than the Ozarks of SW Missouri.

I have a feeling its going to be brutal this winter. Hope I'm wrong

I remember one in the 60's the weather turned like this at this time of year and stayed there till late march. I bet you remember that one Jerry

Yeah I do too Jerry.Remember John Earnie skinning some trees and towing them out on the ice. Ice is by far the most threatening thing to me here on LOZ When it. breaks up it will do untold damage to docks
