merc1997 Bo Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 it is actually elam creek. not for sure if i spelled it right. most do refer to it as sawmill though. the actual sawmill is the next pocket downstream. and, back in "yesteryear" fletcher's devil dive resort was in the actual sawmill pocket. bo
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 I really don't think it's a Grinnell, aka dogfish, or Bowfin. Location? You got me. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me) I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)

5bites Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 The fish is a walleye, I think. Looks a little worse for wear. If I am correct about your location, the semi-bluff end point on the same side of the cove you are standing on has given up both bass and walleye over five pounds for me. Oddly both came on a crawdad wiggle wart, but in different Springs. That would be it. It's a neat creek especially after a good rain. Has plenty of water in it too. I wish I could afford the house on that point you mentioned.
dtrs5kprs Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Walleye that is worse for wear and tear, I think.
