J-Doc Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 If it somehow makes you feel any better (probably not), I have an entire box dedicated to "Skunkworks" gear from the baits you sent me. I thought I had lost them when I moved everything from my old boat to the new one. I found the tackle box late this fall and I will be testing the jigs out over the next few months! And I will GLADLY write up a review on them. The quality is just awesome. So much better than mass produced jigs. I need to place an order when supplies get low! :-) Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Ron Burgundy Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 That just sucks. I hope you reported it to the Kimberling City cops. Lord knows they need something to do besides pull people over for going 2 mph over the speed limit. Ain't that the truth Champ!.....I was complaining about the KC cops to our old friend Martin one day as we drove through KC, he said "don't speed"....his brother in law was the police chief at the time so I got no sympathy....ha....sure miss that guy. Gone but not forgotten Martin Ford
Champ188 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I'm about as pro-police as they come but those guys are borderline nuts. Can't drive thru there without one staring you down or jumping out behind you and radio checking your tags.
J-Doc Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Must have moved to the area. Originally from Mayberry RFD. Lol!! "Check point chicky!!" Ha!! (Old Barney Fife reference) Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
abkeenan Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 That's a real shame Danger Close. You took it a lot better than I would have. I would have set up a 50 mile perimeter stopping cars to get those back. Karma will come around to this individual that took them.
GNSfishing Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Most of the small towns around here are that way. Ozarks finest watch 65 highway like hawks. Good old Macks Creek made the national news a few years ago on being the speed trap capitol of the USA.
Champ188 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Arkansas used to be that way, then the state legislature passed a speed trap law that penalizes cities/towns who derive more than 50% of their traffic fine revenue from speeding tickets less than 10 mph over the limit. Seems to have made quite a difference.
MOsmallies Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 You are a way better man than I am DangerClose.... I'd be wishing for that a-hole to fall while opening that box and sink 50 treble hooks into every inch of his body! I hate thieves with a passion!!
Quillback Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I'm about as pro-police as they come but those guys are borderline nuts. Can't drive thru there without one staring you down or jumping out behind you and radio checking your tags. Be careful in Seligman as you approach the intersection with 37 if you come back that way from Big M or Eagle Rock.
rainbow Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I hope your wish for what is done with the money comes true but most likely the creep will buy drugs. When the wife and I travel by car, with or without the boat in tow, we take turns going to the rest room whether its at a rest stop or gas station. While traveling to Louisiana recently we stopped over night on the way at a nice hotel in Mississippi and unloaded everything out of the SUV and took it in the room. Took two trips but there was nothing there to steal but the truck. The St. Louis area is notorious for car break ins all over the metro area. Even in our rural area they will break a window to get anything of value. What a shame.
