Quillback Posted December 17, 2014 Author Posted December 17, 2014 "Schools of crawfish, upwards of a thousand of them in a school" - and he has video - just can't get it to "upload".
Old plug Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 I thought it was very funny. If I was that large however I would feel self consious making a point of displaying it. The thing with the deer antlers while silly reminds me of a old crppoe fishing trick. Sometimes when you are setting close to a bed and they wont bite you can swish your hand or rod tip around in the water briskly for a bit and the crappie will leave the brush and you can catch them. Works real well when fishing off docks with summerged beds.
dtrs5kprs Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Sad thing is that it is pretty true the way some of the pro's act on camera. Every 3lb fish now caught on FLW or BASS Elite trails is a "giant". Several top guys are seriously guilty of this. Especially when they are on spotted bass lakes in GA or AL. Our K's would kill theirs just to be mean, then glide back to 45'.

Was watching a rerun of the BASS Elites at Cayuga the other night before bed and there were quite a few guys guilty of this. Set the hook and immediately say "It's a biggun' " or a "giant" and then they boat flip it up on the deck. Like a 2 3/4lb fish. Only guy that day that could have really said that every time he landed a fish was Hackney as every fish he stuck on camera was a 5 or 6lb'er. He still flipped them in the boat like a mad man. If I didn't have to pay for my rods I might try that one day.

Honestly, some of these dudes look like they are running drills for the NFL combine every time they boat one.Either that or they just found out the boat was full of snakes. Even worse if it is brown.
