Members Tarheel2288 Posted February 21, 2015 Members Posted February 21, 2015 Can someone post a picture of this Montauk Special? I'm having a hard time visualizing it.
moguy1973 Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Can someone post a picture of this Montauk Special? I'm having a hard time visualizing it. Here is a home made one...Most of the ones you buy at Montauk have a red piece of thread on the butt of the wooly. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
rps Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Believe it or not, the smallest size Shad Rap is a killer bait for large trout. The largest brown I ever had on the line hit one and still has it.
rFisherk Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 All lures mentioned are productive, but one I use a lot no mentioned is a 1/16-ounce Road Runner. Also, believe it or not, I caught deep holding rainbows on almost every cast with a Wiggle-Wart on the Eleven Point last summer. Terrierman 1

Members Smallmouth Addict Posted February 25, 2015 Members Posted February 25, 2015 When I lived in the Rockies for several years I would hike into the Alpine lakes. A Luhr-Jensen Super Duper and Thomas Bouyant would be what I took if spin-fishing.
