Chief Grey Bear Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Its not a long list but here are some places I would like to fish at some point in my life. In no particular order Sturgeon in the Missouri River in Missouri. Trout at the begining of the Missouri River near Great Falls MT. Trout on the Western Slope Smallmouth from Maine Peacock bass in native range LM bass in Mexico Trout from New Mexico Fly in Canada EDIT: I forgot one. I have always wanted to go to Finland's Lake Paijanne. That is where Lauri Rapala first got his start. I have wanted to go and experience that area. laker67 1 Chief Grey Bear Living is dangerous to your health Owner Ozark Fishing Expeditions Co-Owner, Chief Executive Product Development Team Jerm Werm Executive Pro Staff Team Agnew Executive Pro Staff Paul Dallas Productions Executive Pro Staff Team Heddon, River Division Chief Primary Consultant Missouri Smallmouth Alliance Executive Vice President Ronnie Moore Outdoors

countryred Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Good list. Some traveling to do there. Most of my 'Minnow Bucket List" is in Missouri or very close.
Al Agnew Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I've done five out of your bucket list. The upper Missouri is fantastic trout fishing...and in places it's supposed to be good smallmouth fishing. New Mexico...I've fished the San Juan; not all that special compared to lots of other famous destinations. Maine smallmouth on the Penobscot and Kennebec was terrific. Fly in trips got me into lots and lots of fish and mosquitoes. Westslope cutthroats are gorgeous fish, and there are some terrific streams on the west slope. I used to really want to fish for native peacocks, and I'd still make the trip if somebody set it up. Same thing with Mexico bass fishing. Gotta wonder now that we're supposed to be relaxing things with Cuba whether there are still any huge bass in Cuba; there was a time when it was supposed to be the best big bass fishing anywhere. My goal has always been to fish a stream in every state. I'm lacking Nevada, the Dakotas, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Ohio, Indiana, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. I've about accepted that I may not make them all, since I can't think of any I really want to fish in some of those states. But there are some nice smallmouth streams in Indiana and Ohio, and I want to fish for shoal bass, redeye bass, and Suwannee bass down in Georgia and Alabama. Other than that, I still gotta fish the Devils River in south Texas one of these days.
Chief Grey Bear Posted December 31, 2014 Author Posted December 31, 2014 Nice list. No Saltwater? Tarpon? Ahh ya know, I do have some saltwater action I would like to try. Maybe a different bucket list. OK has some spectacular floats.
