jolicious Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 I like to keep up with the stories. I won't be back to Table Rock until next May I'd imagine. Besides - never know when someone will menmention a new bait aand start all the fussing about spending money on the latest fad :-)
bluebasser86 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 You know, I'm good with sharing a fair amount of details but I get a little irked when you can look down at the bottom of these threads and see the same trolls all the time who never contribute anything. Now it's one thing for the guys in KC, STL and other far-off places to hang out and keep up with what's going on. But some of these guys live around here and fish plenty often to let us in on what they're finding and catching out there. You don't have to tell everything. I sure as heck don't. But you could contribute something. It's kind of like those penny dishes at the convenience store cash register. Give a little, take a little. We have the same issue on another forum in the KC area. There's a good sized group of us that share tons of information on the local lakes, more than we probably should, but yet there's always several "guests" reading the page. I didn't use to bother me until I ran into someone fishing one of my favorite spots. Guy said he found it because he recognized the shoreline where I was and that he'd never thought to fish there before but was glad he "found it" . Now I'm much more careful with what I show in pictures, sometimes I even edit out the background if there's an obvious landmark in the background. Hot bites usually aren't reported except via text to the other guys that contribute. Hate being like that but I guess that's what it's coming to. Rich Pearl and Champ188 2
Champ188 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 I never want our forum to be unfriendly to guests and certainly not to members, and I may have spoken a bit strongly about the trolls. But there is a small population of members who fish a lot but HARDLY EVER contribute anything in the form of a report. (Does not apply to Fishrman, who started this thread as a simple request for info and who posts frequently about his outings.) Yet when I was responding yesterday to this thread, I looked at the bottom and they were all lined up waiting for the active members to pass out some free information. Just frustrating to put in all the time and money chasing these fish around and then have others take the info you freely give, go catch fish and then be unwilling to offer any kind of report. On the other hand, I should not be so naive as to think everyone enjoys the hunt as much as the catching. That level of satisfaction is reserved for the true anglers among us, not the bent-pole pattern guys.
Ranger Z22 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 I must say I am a "lurker" troll maybe a little harsh, but as the new year starts I agree with Champ. I fish most days, not now but when I do, I will start posting what has been going on in my area of the pond. As mentioned above, I do fish a lot and should be giving some idea of what I am doing to catch a few in my area of the lake as compared to the other reports. Happy New Year to all! z22 Quillback and fishingaddiction 2
Diamond City Fisher Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 I visit here to get information that might apply to Bull Shoals. I do not fish Table Rock, but there is not a lot of reports on the Bull Shoals forum so I am not taking up space on Table Rock....just look for your expert advice and reports. I do appreciate the forum and information.

Bass Enforcer Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 As many have said already, I too don't get to fish the rock as much as I would love to. But...I enjoy reading the forums just as I like to read my other fishing resources such as bass magazine. "Probably more actually." I just joined this forum the other day so I am a very recent member. Already I have found myself reading it everyday. I will be at the rock this weekend "god willing." I will try to post something. Thanks guys for all the great reads.
Ranger Z22 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Thanks Quill. I am looking forward to posting what is going on in the areas I fish. z22
rps Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 It was me, you all. I confess. I lurk allll the time. Then I buy whatever bait is mentioned and try it on the same places I read about. Sometimes it works. Sometimes I think the poster may have been wrong. Anyone want to buy some banjo minnows? fishingaddiction 1
