Quillback Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Nice stuff Danger. Have you made any small hair finesse jigs in 1/8?
Champ188 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Danger, if you have time and want to mess with it, Donna and I could use some 3/16ths bucktail jigs in gray. The longer the deer hair, the better, although I realize there is a limit to the length. The single wire weedguard would also be great. Thanks a bunch and hope all is well with you guys.
Pepe Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 Good looking stuff Danger. Really liked the 1/16 & 1/8th oz mushroom head jigs with the single wire guard you sent me this past spring. If you produce any of those or have some, I would be interested. Wishing you a great and prosperous 2015! It will be a little bit but I'm happy to make you some more if your out. Drop me a note about color.
Pepe Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 Nice stuff Danger. Have you made any small hair finesse jigs in 1/8? I was planning to make some. You want hair & silicone or just hair? Crawdads coors, I assume?

dtrs5kprs Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Happy to send you some. Just let me know Appreciate the offer, but would rather you sent them to someone who can't tie their own. That white hair jig with a white snake or 6" curl tail is a big fish bait in the same places and at the same time as the stick baits. Overlooked.
Quillback Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 I was planning to make some. You want hair & silicone or just hair? Crawdads coors, I assume? Yessir, I'm thinking hair in craw colors. Never have fished a hair jig, but read lots of articles from folks saying they work well in the winter.
Pepe Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 I am happy to make you some. I should get some shop time this week as it looks to cold tohead for the lake. Lily & I aren"t as tough as some of you are . I watched an In-Fisherman video recently where they were slaying smallies on "clown" colors also. I might tie up a few of those, too. Mike
Quillback Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Yeah the "clown" could work, you never know until you fish it. I'm with you on staying inside this week, yesterday was bearable, but looking at the forecast, this week is going to be way too cold for me.
Ham Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 You could work on kicking out a "Preacher" Jig clone. It is a niche bait that would likely work up river arms especially when they have flow. They should sell nicely. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
