Sore Thumbs Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Sorry guys. No one post on the Grand thread so I thought I would share with you folks. Tough day today. Started in Honey Creek area and worked our way toward Patricia Island area. Tried deep points with no luck. Finally decided to try a shallow cove with gravel and caught 1 lm and 1 drum. Bass came in less than 3 ft on a Mcstick (Blue Bandit). Water was 42-44.7 degrees. Bass was 4lbs 9oz. gatorbitu 1
J-Doc Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Figured you would fish the Polar Bear today. Not sure what the intial turnout was but by 2pm, there were only 25 or so rigs parked in the parking lot. My partner backed out so I fished by myself. Except on my own terms, without an entry fee. Lol!! Nice fish. I threw a jerk bait for a while today but couldn't get comfortable with it and stuck with plastics. They were getting bites. Sore Thumbs Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 Didn't want to spend more money. Been doing winter series.
J-Doc Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 I hear that. Why I launched at Beaver Shores and beat the "Armada" headed up river. Lol!! I only got two and missed a good one. All my spots didn't pan out and the fish I did find would not bite. So frustrating to watch fish live on a graph swim up to your bait and be highly interested and then swim down. Your body gets tensed up, waiting for the bite and then........nothing. So tired of that. Wish I knew what I was doing wrong so I could fix that :-/ No idea who won or what the weight was. fishingaddiction Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Nice looking Grand Lake bass. That will warm you up on a cold day. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.

Beaver had been fairly stingy lately hasn't it? Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
Sore Thumbs Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 Yes it has. It's been kicking my butt for a while now.
Champ188 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Good fish, Jason. You should find more of them the farther you go toward the dam. And more drum.
