Hi guys. I'm kinda feeling pretty stupid here. Not realizing I was posting on the Taney site. Forgive me. I'm pretty new to this "posting" stuff. Still learning. haha Again I have already posted this a couple of times now. Hopefully I'll get it right this time. Recently my family purchased a getaway place at Table Rock. We have been going to Table Rock for 10 years now. However are vacations have been centered around the Baxter area and Aunts Creek area. Most of the times I could do pretty decent. That being said, our new place is Beardsley Creek. An area I am not very familiar with. I would love to meet up with someone familiar with that area who is looking for a fishing partner. When I go down my wife usually goes shopping leaving me to fish by myself. (Not that I'm complaining) she is a "fair weather fisherlady." Let me know if you are looking for someone to fish with. We can take my boat if you would like. (Just fore warning you,it's not a performance boat at all) lol. The only obstacle in my way is time and distance. I am a sheriff's deputy in the st.louis area. So I live a few hours away. We do plan on coming down again in Feb. Let me know. My name is Scott my number is 314 808 0438. Thanks guys.

Welcome to the forum. Feel free to post anytime. Congrats on the house purchase. Not on your part of the pond, but there should be some who are.

Welcome to the forum Bass Enforcer. Congrats on the new home. Our place is also in Beardsley and IMO one of the better locales on the lake. Have quick access to Branson/Hollister if you want to and in terms of the lake you can fish the deep haunts of the dam or make a relatively short run to Long Creek if you want to get into the river arms. That being said there is a strange geographic feature in that the soil in Beardsley Creek and the surrounding hills have some kind of chemical compound that runs off into the water and causes the fish to leave year round. It's called Techolanium or something like that. Best to fish elsewhere. :secret-laugh:

Hey abkeenan. Just checked into the "techolanium." Sounds like some pretty potent stuff and I certainly feel it had tainted my lure this weekend. As I couldn't catch one to save my life. Haha. However I don't think I'll give up so easy. I have a feeling I may see you hanging around the "beard of the lake." Hope to see ya. Good luck and stay away from the "techolanium."

Bass Enforcer,

Just giving you a little "new to the forum" ribbing. There is some good fishing in Beardsley and around the dam area. If you are new to fishing Table Rock it can humble the best of them. Heck last year in early April during the BASS Elite event on Table Rock there were a few Pro's that got skunked and didn't even weigh in a fish if that tells you anything. That is what those guy's do for a LIVING and are on the water probably 200+ days out of the year. So just hang in there. This isn't some lake that gives up it's bounty easy as you and so many have found out the hard way. But once you get it dialed in with time you'll learn why it's one of the best fisheries in the country and we are lucky to have it. Lots of guys that are used to fishing other lakes and consider fishing deep anything over 10-15 feet usually struggle. As Babler has told others in the past....if you aren't catching them you are either on top of them or they are behind you in deeper water. If you still struggle you can always call on Dave (dtrs5kprs) and just ask him about this magical bait called the "Ned Rig". Even infants can weigh in a limit throwing this bait. Good luck and welcome.

Yeah, Hwy 13 area I'm pretty familiar with and usually do pretty good in that area to the white,James and aunts creek. But yes, well said in regards to table rock being very humbling at times. I love this lake it's twice as far from my house as loz but I would rather fish "the rock" even though I know lake of the Ozarks is a great fishery as well.

Welcome to the forum. I had a lot of fun with smallmouth on 1/8 marabou jigs in that area last spring.
