Definitely nice trout. I need to get back to the Current this winter. I haven't fished it in over a year due to focusing on other trout streams.

Nice! Spent Thursday-Sunday camped out a short way below Ashley. Fishing was good Thursday, but a tad slow on Friday & Saturday. Didn't fish Sunday, just packed and floated out. Fun trip..River got a 6" bump on Sunday AM. No browns over 20" but some nice 17-18" chunksters. Brown trout numbers seem lower, but there were lots of rainbows, and a couple smallies to make up for it. Need to get some pics together. The river has changed a lot between Ashley Creek & Parker. It switched channels at the braids, and its gotten deeper in spots. Habitat looks great. Just need a couple high water summers so the brownies don't need to run to the park when it gets hot.

Nice fish Joe. Though you really need video. Filming your actual drive to the river with some hipster crap music playing and then some shots of you walking to the river all suited up. And in your fish poses, you should be holding the fish by the tail like its a giant steelhead.

Nice pictures and reports. I really need to get out and fish....it has been September since I last fished. An 18th month old and another one on the way has made it tougher to find the time this winter.

It takes knowledge, skill, and passion to catch fish on a fly, while filming in HD, then editing it in a stylized way for public consumption.

I possess none of those attributes. Just lumbering along hoping to get lucky.

I will say that I'm tired of the Current being so low for so long. Doesn't help my method of fishing at all.

Still fun.

No big whup. 70s. Bell bottoms. Long straight hair. Chevy Novas jacked up.
