Dave I know you pour your own. I do as well, I use the Do It worm nose jig mold with the screw lock but don't use the screw lock because it's not good with Elaztech. Anyhow how did you add the weed guard? Did you just smash one into your mold?

Can't press it. Cable will just squish. Have to go medieval on it (name the movie reference?) with tools.

I tried to press one in a different mold last week and it was just a mess. Will end up JB welding it and starting over. Pressing or pounding is generally a bad idea. Aluminum will crack. Don't ask how I know, please don't.

I'm not taking words out of Dave's mouth but anytime I modify my molds it's with a dremel tool.

Pretty much. Some filing, chiseling, and general beating. There is a little pucker factor that first time you do it.

Pressing is a really bad idea except for the occasional minor hook eye tweak. Too easy to break something. If you jack it up with a dremel you can usually jb weld it back to a functional state. Not always.

So for all of this, are you really experiencing a greater fish count at the end of the day?

I know I and a couple of guys I fish with can go through a number worm pieces due to fish wearing them out during the day and we don't go to anywhere near this amount of work. The most we have to do is pinch off another piece of worm.

If we don't use Sliders which have been around forever.

Movie reference. .. Natural Born Killers. Zeds dead honey. Lots of good lines from it, althoughI have never seen it from beginning to end.

Half right. Pulp fiction.

Would be worth a shot. Those running water fish will eat it up, as some of our fellow OAF folks can attest.
