Had a great time at "Jigfest on Tanycomo" Lilly's landing is a top notch resort. Phil & Marsha are wonderful hosts. Unfortunately I was only able to fish one day. Weather turned colder, with abit of wind & cloudy skys. I had the privilege of fishing with Gris Wilson again and really enjoyed it. We started off down by Branson Landing trying to catch crappie and testing pretty impressive mixture electronics that Gris had brought along. We could mark quite few crappie in the weed beds but we couldn't get them to hit the jigs. I think it was the weather change a lack of generation. We put the boat back on the trailer headed up to Cooper creek after lunch. Gris talked some of the other guys who had went upstream in the morning and were able to fish the small rise from the Tablerock dam and really got into a trout bite. We headed upstream about 1:30 pm we motored within sight of the dam hoping to catch another rise but there was no generation and the north wind picked up. We did manage to get a few trout to hit our jigs and and we had a fun day. I was impressed by the average size of the rainbows we caught and will be back to Tanycomo and Lillys landing again.
