I don't think I've ever been quite that mad at a groundhog. :angry1:

And from what I hear, they don't taste good either. However a dead groundhog is a good groundhog.

Yes indeed. Kill them twice to be sure.

I'll take your word for it, abk. Never had the slightest reason to doubt anything you said. But as you underscored, the general rule is you get what you pay for. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule. Glad the PQs are solid performers.

Jim I had a gold 7BB prolite and i didnt like it one bit but i used the silver johnny reels till i upgraded this last year to Lews and had pretty good luck with them but I prefer my Lews by far. I picked up a couple new super duties last week in the new gear ratios I havent tried the 6.8 to 1 yet but I do like the 8.0 to 1. I'm thinking the 6.8 to 1 might work well throwing a wart or a spinner bait

I have. A big one. He decided to dig a home in the poured concrete planters alongside our front step. Tried traps, poison, all the usuals with no luck.

Had pretty well given up until I was on the way to the bank one afternoon to pull out some money for a gun show. There he was in the street just down from the house.

Some would say a Ford Excursion is too much for hunting groundhogs, but to them I say you always need to bring enough gun.

Best part was one of the neighborhood teenagers and her boyfriend were walking up the other side of the street. She had just raised her phone up for a picture of him when I swerved to address his threat to my sanity. Great big "Ohhhh" frozen on her face.

I rolled my window down, and shouted with a madman's glee "He has been living in my front steps!" Kids just don't understand the simple joys of life.

Great Story!
