Help me on this. I have a big glop of it stuck to the side of my Phoenix, I have tried everything but a hammer and It will not melt off.

Alchol and goof off or go gone won't work. Tried it.

Loc-tite says acetone.

I would very much appreciate if Dave would show us how he modifies his mold to accept the wire weed guard. It would bery helpful for those of us that would like to try doing that.

I think Dave posted a brief video when last asked that question.

I've been making my own gopher style heads with a weed guard. No collar and glue is ok but I can't stand the super glue in the boat. Started pouring them with a small homemade wire keeper that works just as good if not better in my opinion.

Here is another quick tip on the jig heads. I have heard folks talk about rust. I left 20 jigheads already cut down and attached to ZMan baits all Winter without a drop of rust on any of the hooks.

How you ask. Here is the deal that works for me. I started using Flambau ZeRust boxes from Walmart to keep all my rustables in. In the N. Rig boxes I also put an Inhibitor Strip. You can go to the Inhibitor.com and see them. I have had zero rust on anything since I started using both of these products and they have absolutely no odor that the fish can tell.

This is a super fool proof way to make your hard earned fishing dollars last. If you buy a dozen of those boxes at WalMart they will cut the cost. I bought a case of them. I think they were 6 dollars each but the lady at the counter gave me a case price of I believe 60 bucks or knocked a buck each off. Pretty cheap insurance.

Don't let the word get out that I recommended something that I got a deal on.

How do you keep the elaztech from melting the box?

How do you keep the elaztech from melting the box?

I have heard this come up. I keep most of my elaztech in bags, but do keep a few rigged heads in smaller plano boxes. Have not seen any sign of them melting or otherwise degrading the box.

Now if it is mixed with plastisol baits, that is a different story entirely. If left directly in the sun they will also stick/melt to varying degrees. Not a great idea to leave your regular plastisol baits out in the sun either.

I just recently had my first experience with the Ned on the River, highly impressed with my results!! I got some of the ZMan Shroom heads to start with, that welded piece on there works pretty good. I had as good of luck as any with these right here.. http://ejigs.com/Files/Product/Bass_1071/Weedless_Grub__Worm_Heads_(5-pack)_4634.asp

I got them because they had the weed guard, pricy bout like the Zman Shroom tho.

There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
