You guys all talk about the old store and here I was thinking about the old Brown Derby that he started out in! lol My dad loved going in there, but since he was southern Baptist he would make us kids close our eyes when we went by all the alcohol. lol

They did a little bit of BPS history during that live show last night - some interesting photos of the Brown Derby, and a bunch of guys in the tackle section looking at stuff.

It wasn't that long ago when they'd have booths of different manufacturers setup and it was pretty cool to walk through and see it all. A slew of pros were around too. It's definitely not that way now.

We did go Saturday and I got into a scrap with a couple bully's. D23D66B6-47C1-494F-9B91-3E07F7D93B24_zps

I shopped and bought things in that liquer store Johnny Morris had 0n a couple of trips to Table Rock in the early 60"s. Never expected it to be what it is today. i still like to burn time sithere roam while my wife is out shopping. I do not do much buying there however. I buy most my stuff now the Tackel Warehouse. They have Lower prices overall, free shipping and no sales tax. I think the sales tax alone is close to 10% now in springfield.
