No photo . Had venison loin with a quick sear and then slathered with a roasted garlic and mustard spread and finished in the oven. Served with pickled red beets and Sue's version of hashbrown cheesy casserole.

Nice to have wives who like to make rolls isn't it @rps?

Potato rolls for us yesterday. Perfect bottoms too.

I've never bought kale before the other day. Both recipes called for it, but I do think spinach would taste better. Weird, but I thought the kale tasted better in the first soup somehow.

I was talking to Kathy yesterday about our experience with the two soups with kale. She made the first soup, in which I thought the kale tasted better. She said she meticulously cut out all the stems and only used the tender tops. Silly me, I just dumped in the chopped kale straight from the bag in the second soup. Even the smallish stems made a taste difference. I guess I'm not very observant :D

Always learning!

It smells even better. Love the smell of roasted garlic in the house.

Sliced chicken thighs, baby bok choy, oyster mushrooms, onion, ginger, bean sprouts stir fry. Added rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, and a Sichuan pepper sauce. Served over white rice.

I have a knack for making things that look terrible but taste good.  Got back from Dr visit, hmm what to make for supper, wife wasn't hungry so I find most of a rotisserie chicken in the fridge, see some rice on the shelf and so it began.  Rice always fools me as to how much it makes.lots of chopped up chicken,  some broth, several various spice mixes including cajun, and some cream of mushroom soup.  Really needed some fresh green spinach in it or something green, but didn't have anything.  Ugly, tasty and fortifying.
