As far as BBQ food, there are two distinct styles and flavors that I think both towns do very well. As for BBQ sauce, I think KC wins that one. The Royals have had 2 good years out of the last 30. Not time to thump the chest yet. Dynasty? Your word. I merely pointed out that we have a football team. I didn't even know there was a StL style BBQ. Honest. There is a KC style, but there's a lot more than that style in KC. I like ours, go figger. Many sauces. Bryant's <> Gates <> Joe's Thumping chest? Not me, just said better baseball the last two years. Nice try though, Chief. Chief Grey Bear 1 John

True they do not put chocolate cherry wheat berries in it. Or orange peel with anchovies. But they do use the finest hops, rice, barley, and their exclusive Beechwood aging. This is the famous Budweiser beer. We know of no brand produced by any other brewer which cost so much to brew and age. Our exclusive Beechwood aging produces a taste, a smoothness, and a drink ability you'll find in no other beer at any price. maybe before they SOLD OUT overseas

Last I knew -- well, that's better left unsaid. Oh I'm back-and-forth you know. A point I would like to make on BBQ though. I think all BBQ is good. Weather it be Texas, Kansas City, St. Louis, Memphis,South Carolina, Mississippi or wherever. I don't think one is better than the other. And I don't think anyone that truly appreciates barbecue would put one over the other either. Each are unique to their own area. And each is delicious. As far as Budweiser, I've been a fan since a young age. I truly enjoy the crisp, clean, robust, flavor of Budweiser. I do not like it out of a keg. I should say I do not prefer it out of the keg. Bottles are fine but I think you truly get the best flavor out of the can. And I'm quite sure there's nobody here that is a fan of canned beer. Even if it was alcohol free I would enjoy it. If it still had the same flavor. It along with many other beers such as Pabst Schlitz Miller and such were brewed in the true German fashion. These are the beers that built America. They were drank by the men that built America. The men that did the hard labor. They ain't the sissy beers and wines that people are drinking today. Flysmallie Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Well I don't drink any sissy beers but there are other good American beers that don't give me a headache. So I drink those. And I'd just as soon have a beer out of a can as a bottle. When I drink a little I try to find a nice pale or good IPA. Just like BBQ there are lots of good ones so why not try a bunch. And if I'm gonna take it on the river then my cooler will have several Coors waiting in the ice. Smalls21 1
BilletHead Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Hummm, interesting bantering here. My question to the Chief is who throws the ned rig better? East side of the state or Westerners? Food related too.
