BilletHead Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Ness, Here is the spread recipe link, http://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/remoulade_sauce/. The only substation was course stone ground mustard in place of the Creole mustard. A lot going on there but really tasty. BilletHead Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Today it was Jaeger Schnitzel. After Ness posted his feast and remembering how good it is Mrs. BilletHead made it. She re hydrated some chanterelles I had dehydrated back when we had a bumper crop. As you will see in the photo she did plenty! Goose was used as the meat and brown rice as a side. All smothered with the mushroom gravy. A glass of zin drink of choice to go with. I am now foundered like a horse on too much clover, BilletHead ness 1 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" fishinwrench Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 I didn't accompany the shopper so I have no idea how much was paid for them. She hasn't mentioned that we are broke quite yet but if it doesn't warm up soon I bet it won't be long. Still plenty of fish and deer meat still in the freezer so I shouldn't starve.
BilletHead Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 I won't let you starve. rps Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Tonight Nancy and I are having a mini Thanksgiving in February. This afternoon, I put together two casseroles of dressing from a bag of cornbread crumbs and a bag of bread crumbs. I used chicken stock, lots of onion, celery, and sweet peppers, plus herbs. I also made a batch of queso. Nothing is better on dressing than queso. I have butterflied a chicken and I am about to put it in to roast while the dressing bakes. While that happens I will saute some fresh spinach in garlic oil. Tonight will be wonderful and will make goodies to use in meals the rest of the week. BilletHead 1
