        A couple things from today,

Got this new gadget this weekend on the clearance rack. Grilled cheese griller. So you get your sandwich figured out and put in and secure. Then on the charcoal grill. This cheese combo was sharp cheddar and fontina. With the butter on the outside was some grated parm and a dusting of everything bagel seasoning. Yes I know it is just another gadget but you flip them easy on one side or the other. When the flame gets too high I can still put on the lid causing some nice hickory smoke while cooling off the fire.

I can see some good combinations of sammies coming from this!

So we had bought a half dozen domestic rabbits. Since we were on vacation and not able to clean them for ourselves we let the grower do that part. Well that won't happen again. We will buy but take care of the little cute rodents ourselves. When we got them they were hole and two jammed into a Ziploc. A sure fire way to bring on freezer burn. We will in the future break them down and vacuum seal.  So these nice guys will be used pretty quick and the next ones will be able to keep for longer times between uses. The Mrs. Looked up a recipe in our cookbooks. She said either Sichuan rabbit with peanuts or Rabbit rolled in mustard sauce. Missing one ingredient in the first we settled on the second one. Browned and braised bunny to tender and then worked up the sauce. Lots of goodies in the braising liquid and sauce.  I'm impressed and there will be leftovers as now two bunnies down and four to go,

BH do you think that this recipe would be online as well or just in your cookbook? I would like to try that one. Sounds like a recipe that would work for bushytails or cottontails☺!

I think it will John and the Mrs. and I discussed this same thing. I will see if I can find it online but right now it is in my cookbook, that would be the cookbook I own called Cooking Wild in Missouri :) . Available at your local MDC office or online . How was that for a sales pitch ? Have used or tweaked several recipes out off this book.
