fishinwrench Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 And whaddaya gonna do if they don't. Or if they pretend to but just can't carry your wishes thru ? They're gonna do what makes their days on the job more pleasant, regardless.
Riverwhy Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I do not support any effort to defund the Missouri Department of Conservation but they have a some weaknesses that need corrected. It is however impossible to discuss these weaknesses without getting a bit of a thrashing from the "better than Illinois crowd." My guess is that a little bit of conversation and true compromise with the various interests from around the state would help to remove this burr from under the saddle of these representatives.

They're gonna do what makes their days on the job more pleasant, regardless. Nothing. They don't listen to the people now and haven't for years. They listen to the bussiness' that continue to pay them huge sums of money. And then they tell the sheeple what is best and that only they can continue the fight against the other political party that is destroying this country. And bingo what do you knowo they get reelected. fishinwrench Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Yep,so why even waste your time pretending to play along with their game? It's stupid.
Chief Grey Bear Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 As much as you hate the government, you'd be the last one I'd think would roll over and let the man have his way. Terrierman Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 The only winning move is not to play. Most of the time you make a lot of sense. But not here. The squeaking wheel gets the grease. I understand that money talks, as well as anyone and better than most. But I also know from living next door to legislators that when their voters care enough to talk about whatever subject is at hand, they listen. Votes go different ways for different reasons. But I can assure you with 100% certainty that to disengage is to give up any hope of influence you ever had. ness and Deadstream 2

fishinwrench Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Having never lived next door to a legislator myself I'll have to agree with ya. I bet they really put on a front for their neighbors though.
Terrierman Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 February 19, 2015 XXXXX, Thank you for the email and I will be watching for bills that would be negative toward the Conservation Department. In my opinion, the Conservation Department does a great job and we don’t need to interfere with their program. Sincerely, XXXXXX Got this reply back from my State Rep.
