Over the years my family and I have caught a few in August deep on crawlers in the kimberling area. Guess a few can manage to survive down deep.

They seem to survive nicely in Southern California reservoirs during the summer and those lakes are much smaller than these and certainly get much hotter (Surface temp) there is probably a untapped fishery overlooks on TR. Makes you wonder if there is not some monster Trout swimming in the lake?

This fish was caught 9/7/2014. By Table Rock spillway. Left the dam in the picture as people have commented about catching Rainbows near the dam.

Amazing how every state can stock Bass and Crappie But Missouri had the best conservation department. Bur every other State stocks Bassand crappie with a very high succes rate. The largest Hatchery in the state is Lost Va;;ey fish hatchery in Warsaw Mo is empty 95 percent of the ponds have been dry for years. And they wont make a attempt to stock a bass a Half mile away in Truman Lake.
