mjk86 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Over the years my family and I have caught a few in August deep on crawlers in the kimberling area. Guess a few can manage to survive down deep.
Feathers and Fins Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 They seem to survive nicely in Southern California reservoirs during the summer and those lakes are much smaller than these and certainly get much hotter (Surface temp) there is probably a untapped fishery overlooks on TR. Makes you wonder if there is not some monster Trout swimming in the lake? bs1827 1 https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

Quillback Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Never have heard of anyone getting a brown down lake. They must not wander as much as the rainbows.
dtrs5kprs Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Pretty obvious that at least some of them are surviving in the lake when folks are catching them in September.

rangerz21 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Amazing how every state can stock Bass and Crappie But Missouri had the best conservation department. Bur every other State stocks Bassand crappie with a very high succes rate. The largest Hatchery in the state is Lost Va;;ey fish hatchery in Warsaw Mo is empty 95 percent of the ponds have been dry for years. And they wont make a attempt to stock a bass a Half mile away in Truman Lake.
Members dougdean Posted March 2, 2015 Members Posted March 2, 2015 The rainbow by the Dam was caught on Drop Shot and a 4 inch worm.
