Danoinark Posted January 21, 2007 Author Posted January 21, 2007 The front deck and porch steps are very iced. Roads are wet, but I hear crews are out salting and putting gravel on the roads. Hopefully it won't get any worse. Everyone stay safe and be careful out there. Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"

Flysmallie Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 I wonder how Springfield is making out? It's been sleeting and snowing off & on. The side streets are covered. The big factor may be the wind. The guy that lives across the street from us spent a couple of hours getting a tree in his front yard back into shape from the ice storm. He amazingly had it looking pretty good. I looked out a little while ago and the whole tree is down. The wind is blowing pretty good and most of the trees still have a fair amount of ice on them. Keeping my fingers crossed that the power stays on.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 21, 2007 Root Admin Posted January 21, 2007 That's what I was afraid of... wind.
Bill Butts Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 Springfield MO. The driving sleet has finally subsided in our part of Springfield, and from looking at the radar it appears to have moved out. Weird thing though, the radar has shown only snow all day (which we had early) but has never shown any sleet or F____ rain. But, the reality is that it sleeted for hours this evening. Very ugly. Temp has been holding at 32 for several hours, too. Wind speed is currently 24 mph, with 32 mph gusts. Not Good. FYI....for you guys that don't have your city/state identified on your sidebar profile, we don't have any way of knowing "where" you are when you say "here". brittsnbirds Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 Snow, started around 1400 here (S. KCMO). Looks like we got around 4". Very beutiful out here in the woods.
Terry Beeson Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 Man THIS storm wussed out big time compared to the one last weekend... As for Nixa: Spitting snow at noonish Saturday Bigger snow around 3pm Rain at 5ish Sleet at 6ish (Followed by sushi at Tokyo grill...) Back to freezing rain at 7pm. Woke up this morning to some patches of white on the grass and a bit of sleet/ice on the pavement... But we still have power and internet!!!! Quillback Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 Yesterday was a little rainy, then some sleet, a little snow, and this AM a little cold drizzle. Power blinked off a couple of times last night, but fortunatley no major issues. I have to drive to Dallas early tomorrow AM, I'm curious to hear road conditions on 540 south of Fayetteville and 40 around FT. Smith. I think there aren't any probs with those roads.
