Georges Creek access ?

I would like a couple spots where I can pull off & wade fish, then drive to the next access. No watercraft

the Pyatt area under the 62 bridge was good to me a few years ago

I don't mind fishing community holes, anything is better than Beaver Lake during the white bass run

I vote that Crooked Creek in Boone county be considered navigaible.

Quick Update: Yesterday (6/18), the AGFC Commissioners approved the AGFC to enter into a land purchase agreement to purchase 10 acres at George's Creek to construct an access. The land acquisition and some of the access construction will occur in FY 15-16 (July 20115 - June 2016). The access will be completed in FY 16-17. Basically, the access should be totally complete by late summer/early fall 2016.

Let hope the access is a small gravel lot with parking for three or four cars and not a paved lot for two dozen cars and I huge sign out front.

We are going to have to take the good with the bad. It will enable more ppl to fish from Snow to George's creek. I will be one of those ppl from time to time.

I wonder if we can use this access prior to completion of all the work?

Any idea on when this access will become available for public use? Will it be after completion in 2016?

We are having an onsite meeting about the access on Thursday. I will update everyone after that meeting.

Next up would be establishing access in Marion County and removing the barbed wire stretched across the creek.
