Moswimb8slinger Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 I'm sorry I missed the OAF Big Bass event on Saturday. I was paddling around the dam area throwing the River2sea s-waver 200 and caught a 8.5lbs largemouth and a keeper size K. I weighed it on 2 different scales with the same result. With this fish, i finally knocked off the 8.0 i caught 13 years ago as my personal best Largemouth Golf Pro, J-Doc, gatorbitu and 3 others 6
Champ188 Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Beautiful fish, Richy. Congrats on your new personal best. I admire your dedication to that big swimbait. Moswimb8slinger 1
gitnby Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 A fish like that could give a kayak a pretty good ride? I hope you weren't in a NO WAKE zone when you caught that fish! Moswimb8slinger 1
Moswimb8slinger Posted March 16, 2015 Author Posted March 16, 2015 Haha that's a good one gitnby.lol I didn't bother fishing table rock this time last year because of the shad kill. I'm glad to be throwing these baits this time of year now. caught her in less than 10ft on some ledges with boulders, just slow rolling that S-waver ( just fast enough to get it to glide back and forth). It was an odd strike too, just a little tap and dead weight, then she ran for deep water.
OldMillRoad Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Nice fish Richy! Were you throwing the 4" or 6"?
