Members kazoobass Posted April 9, 2015 Author Members Posted April 9, 2015 Thanks for all the help Everyone. I think I fished too fast today and maybe too shallow. One more day on the rock until next time. Its been a great trip. You guys have a beautiful area. Nice people and beautiful surroundings. We will see how long my old linebacker body last tomorrow. I bet it will feel better if we are catching them. Thanks for all of your hospitality. This will be an annual trip for my family. If I ever figure out how to post pictures I will show you some Michigan bass this summer. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
fishingaddiction Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 We who live close to the Branson Table Rock Lake area are very blessed. Plenty to do, great fishing, beauty everywhere you look, just a great place to live or visit. You can be grateful for what you have up north also. Most of use die hard bass heads dream of being able to come to your area and smash those huge small jaws that Michigan is known for. Thanks for posting on the OAF, this has been a good thread. Have a great day on the water today. Champ188 1 Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
dtrs5kprs Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Lot of good info throughout this one for folks making their first trip, or a trip from an area where the lakes do not match ours. Same for the college angler's thread.
Members kazoobass Posted April 9, 2015 Author Members Posted April 9, 2015 8 fish in a short trip this morning. really tough wind light boat. four good keepers with the fishes the day being a two and three quarter pound mean mouth. shaky head was the best bait
Members kazoobass Posted April 9, 2015 Author Members Posted April 9, 2015 Had a great 4 hour trip. My son struggled with the wind and my back is not in fishing shape yet. Where I fish at home I never understand stood why people wanted a 36 volt 100 trolling motor. I understand now. Wow those ridges do some crazy stuff with the wind. Seemed like it would come from every direction at times. I also understand wanted a big heavy glass boat better. Thanks again to everyone this has been a ton of fun. Will be back

There is nothing like running into a creek to duck the wind only to find it blowing harder, and from an impossible direction. Takes some getting used to for certain. There are plenty of times even a big 36v won't handle it, beyond controlling your drift. That area of the lake is about as bad as it gets for wind, along with Baxter. Glad you had fun. Have a safe trip north.
