huntest Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 The day started out slowly and ended well. Jerkbait nada. Wart nada. Green pumpkin Ned 10. 10 feet or less. 50 degree water. 5 smallmouth with two keepers 4 Spots with one keeper 1 keeper largemouth You can't really fish this little rig too slowly right now. Champ188 and Sac River Jim 2
dtrs5kprs Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 You are doing as well, or better, than most. It just takes making the commitment to truly slowing down. Would guess a lot of folks are trying to cover water and finesse fish at the same time. Doesn't really work that way, especially before it warms up. Or it's the rod.
huntest Posted March 24, 2015 Author Posted March 24, 2015 Great advice on the rod Dave! Several bites today when I had deadsticked the bait for several seconds. Slow works.
magicwormman Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Nice fish!!! A lot of guys can't fish that slow. They have to be throwing and cranking. It's tough to slow down, when fishing is real slow.
fishingaddiction Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Another day saved by the Ned Rig. Patience is a virtue. Nice adjustment huntest, and thanks for the lower end report. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
