Members Nedrig fan Posted March 31, 2015 Members Posted March 31, 2015 Well said to all. I have know dave for yrs and I coldnt begin to tell you how much he has helped my fishing, from showing me different things and mainly the HOW to fish and taking me fishing. If you ever get the experience of getting in the boat with him to spend the day(or sit and have a cup of coffee at Mas) I highly recomend that you do so. It will be a day you wont forget. I concider myself very fortunate to call this man my FRIEND. Also on a side note he can make an awesome fishing rod
Members DavidB Posted March 31, 2015 Members Posted March 31, 2015 Added thanks to Dave, for a quick response on my order of "Ned heads". We're headed to Table Rock on April 25th, and will spend the week fishing from the MO/AR line in Long Creek, to about Point 5 on the White. Our home lake is Toledo Bend, but we've been making the trip to Table Rock since 1982. You can imagine that our fishing styles are a little different on Toledo, but we always look forward to the challenge of fishing the beautiful, clear water on the Rock. I plan to read up on "The Ned" between now and then, and maybe get just a little more guidance from Dave. This forum is absolutely the best, and a big thank you to Bill, as moderator, and to the many other contributors, for making it a pleasure to read during the year, when we're dreaming about our next trip to the Rock.
SRV1990 Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Absolutely agree with all that has been said... I ordered some Ned heads last Thursday, they came in the mail yesterday. And they look awesome! Can't wait to use them when I get down to the Rock on the 7th. Thanks Dave!!! "You can always justify putting off a decision... but you can't put off the results of indecision."
magicwormman Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 You are the man, Dave!!! I hear that Ma's is going to be selling your heads with a authentic signed photo and jersey this year. Seriously, Dave has helped sooooo many folks on this site and in this area catch more fish. He, along with many others on this forum are willing to share good honest information that makes this site ONE OF A KIND. A BIG THANKS to all who contribute. Champ188 1
Champ188 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I was considering getting a Varmint wrap on my boat and matching jersey, and maybe even PBJ-colored Power Poles when they come with the 100-foot Table Rock models, but I'm beginning to see Dave for the self-serving scoundrel that he really is. In the span of just a few days, he has: 1. Poo-pooed my flooded bushes blade bite. 2. Is actively trying to call in a cold front to preserve the shallow bite for Phase 1 of his upcoming annual pilgrimage. 3. Shamelessly made derogatory comments about river fishing to the point of comparing the upper reaches of our forum's namesake lake to Truman, i.e. the Beaver Lake of Missouri. I'm keeping a suspicious eye on him. Quillback, Daryk Campbell Sr, Macsimus and 2 others 5
Quillback Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 "100-foot Table Rock models" HAHA, that is a hoot!

I'm keeping a suspiciours eye on him. Just for that I should send you a jersey. Purple and brown! You'll match the water up the Kings. Thanks all, but goodness this has me wondering if I've been diagnosed with something. Sort of like a pre-memorial Hallmark card. Especially from the goat roper. Good to know it has helped folks catch fish. Had a gentleman I knew growing up who was kind enough, and unselfish enough, to teach a dumb kid a lot about fishing. Hope I am paying some of that forward. These lakes are hard to fish, and harder to learn without some help. Champ188 and InPiney 2
