More diversity in the answers than I would of assumed.

1. grub - smoke - flake or no flake, depends on the sun

2. tube - green

3. spook - blue shore minnow

4. ned - green (sorry ned advocates but it's a distant 4th reserved for tough days)

5. weightless fluke - albino (last resort)

I like some of the other stuff mentioned, but mid april throught mid may that's all I wind up using; unless a close friend gives a solid tip then I may deviate.

I'd like to thank my FUTURE sponsers: Falcon Rods, Jewel Bait Co, and Seagar

I fish a little different then most people on the forum but here are my favorites

1. 1/4 ounce texas rig with baby brush hog

2. 3/16 ounce shakey head with a finesse worm

3.kietech fat swimbait on a 5/16 ounce ball head

4.war eagle heavy finesse jig

5. Revenge buzzbait

Splitshot/turd

Grub

Wart

TX rig lizard

Beyond that it would based on conditions. High skies fluke, overcast topwater, windy spinnerbait. Might throw a Ned in the mix.

Any and all of the above, as for myself as they move onto the beds and get defensive, give me some cloudy rainy weather and a top water rapala, f-13 to be exact. Good luck fishing to you all.

1. TX rig lizard or brush hog- grn pumpkin

2. wacky rigged senko- grn pumpkin and it's variants

3. 3/16-1/2oz jig- something with orange on it

4. square bill crank

5. used to be a shakey head, but now i would call on the NED

Take home message...a lot of junk works in April. Err on the slow and soft side unless it is blowing.
