For the last couple of weeks I have been fishing below the dam at Warsaw. The crappie and whites are doing really good right now. The crappie bite is best approximately 30 minutes before dark. But if you have fished below the dam you also will know that with good fishing also comes BIG CROWDS. The whites are off and on all day long. I fished Tuesday and the whites turned on mid-day and was hot all the way till dark. Jerk baits working really well. I have also been seeing a few walleye being caught. I have even lucked into a couple myself. Also picking up some good hybrids with the whites.

Went across the Bridge below the Dam today it looked crowded.

I'll be glad when we are not so busy up there when we go.

Tchicken...Thems some nice slabs and wow what a walleye. Use to fish the tail water alot but got sick of the crowds and disrespectful fishermen during the spring runs. Sure do miss the battles at dawn with those big hybrids though. Good report and nice fish bud!!!

Sorry it has taken me so long to report back. i have been very busy. I did get to fish Wednesday with my to brothers. wWe actually took a boat to get away from the crowd. We all three had a limit of whites and #7 crappie between the 3 of us. We did pull around by the rocks a little before dark . Still elbow to elbow. But the hybrids look like they are starting to pick up.

We cleaned 21 whites and 41 crappie Thursday. We didnt get to fish as long Friday but did get another 10 whites and 15 crappie. Minnows and blue/white jigs were our best baits. The last hour of light was by far the best.

The two bottom crappie were 13 and 13.5".

Ironing board make the best filet tables. Just the right height. Nothing breaks a back like bending over fileting fish.

I was out there Sat morning and several guys were picking up alot of whites and hybrids using walk the dog topwaters. I ended up with only one white, but I just didn't have the lure or the location these other guys had. It was my first white bass and the first time fishing that area. I will try to get back out there in the next couple of days. This time with a different bait selection.
