BilletHead
Ooooh nice funguses fellows, We looked and managed five and one of those was pretty useless. Did score hitting our wild asparagus patches. So with grilled chicken we had a taste of morels and oven roasted asparagus. We like it this way sprinkled in olive oil, sea salt and coarse pepper. jdmidwest
Finally broke the ice. After two days of no luck, I found a mess. Nice assortment, grays, yellows, blacks, and half frees. A grand slam from the same spot. Passed on some inkies, never ate those before. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Gavin
Nice! Looks like it is still a touch early. Inks aren't worth the trouble. No luck with the girls on Sunday just a nice 3 mile hike. Hope to find a few Thursday when all of my tax returns are done or extended.
Jeff Tief
Took the same 2 1/2 mile hike today and found 67 more mushrooms. Hope the walk balances out the calories from eating them. laker67 and duckydoty
Guest
Went after work to my morel forest with a friend after work for about an hour and a half. Found 154 and left at least 70 half frees that were too dry. Public land....less than 50 yrds from my car.
