Members wmander Posted April 22, 2015 Members Posted April 22, 2015 Saw that as well hoglaw. Cool to see those males & females together. Finally got a few bed bass to commit after a few bait changes. FLW guys will figure it out pretty quick. Cool to see all those dream rigs flying down the lake!
J-Doc Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 What's cool is when you're fishing a spot and Jimmy Houston comes in because you're already on his spot. I mean if it's good enough for Jimmy.......LOL!! And he blamed "local pressure" at the weigh in of course. Ha!! I don't mind. We moved to the side and let him have it. He was fishing for money, we were not. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Mike jones Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Don't see an average bag of 17 pounds or better happening...the major wave of spawners has not happened yet and several guys were up looking at the little guys in practice. I'm sure there will be guys on that pre spawn pattern but to catch a average bag of 17+ pounds right now for 4 days straight with 150 FLW guys on the water is beyond tough.
Guest Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 after hearing what Clark Wendlandt said about Beaver, Im thinking my 60lb prediction might be the over.
Mike jones Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 I actually had supper with Clark and Mike Surman last night. Clark said it won't be near the weights of the last couple years and more like the Beaver of old times. Trust me...I gave him 20 questions on the current state of Beaver and what he thought of the couple weeks to come(I have chamber,Everett and castmasters coming up). He provided some great info on the lake..he told me to text him next weekend if his predictions come true!!

Quillback Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 after hearing what Clark Wendlandt said about Beaver, Im thinking my 60lb prediction might be the over. And they have some weather tomorrow, windy, T-storms. Saturday looks to be windy also.
J-Doc Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Based on the live Twitter feeds.... They will be lucky to get 60lbs. They just can't figure it out. Which amazes me. Weather, local pressure, etc. It's all adding up to low weight. I was hoping for big sacks but again......it ain't happening. (Sigh) Need marine repair? Sprint21fter Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 I fished a meeks tourney last wednsday and was seeing plenty of bass on beds but nothing over 2.5 lbs. We fished the dam area and struggled with a small limit of spots all 14 inchers. We normally can find a couple of good smallies fishing humps and longs points but didn't run into any of them. 15lbs won it and 11 ish was the cut for a check. If someone can average 14-15lbs each day they will run away with it. All the lakes in this area are in there spawn/funk stage with these cold fronts blowing thru and east winds it jacks things. At this rate we will have spawning fish well into May.
