These fish do not like the cold weather, and it showed this morning. Lots of empty beds in coves. Tough as the front was coming in. Lost quite a few degrees in places.

After the hailstorm, the bite picked up considerably. Mostly on secondary points close to spawn coves. Mixed rock, 6'-16' roughly. Very soft bite, but also aggressive. Missing one and dropping it back down was almost automatic. Still the usual slow Ned process. Fished a single point for 5 hours.

Stopped counting after passing the 20 keeper mark. Caught an awfully, silly, giggly lot of bass. Some nice fat K's, that look to be coming in, mixed with the fish I think pulled out. Mix of all 3, plus some smaller meanies.

The Ned Heads? Now, that could be the perfect name for those of us that adore that bait?

Does Jerry Garcia fish?

Way to get em Dave. I realize the weather has been, well spring time on the Rock. It hasn't slowed you down a bit.

Thanks for sharing Dave. Sounds like another great day. Look forward to getting some of your Ned heads and trying them. Are you still mainly using the 1/8th oz heads?

Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.

No. Yesterday was an eighth day because of where they moved. Before that I was throwing a lot of sixteenths up shallow. Started with the sixteenth, but they clearly were not there.

Did dig some out of brushpiles and graphed some a little deeper yet. Lot of fish still have not been near the bank.

Got your msg last night but was just worn smooth after ten hours out.
