fishinwrench Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Ok - I'm just repeating what the biologists in the MO DNR - DoC say... I think they admitted they were wrong. So I'll repeat THAT.
Ham Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Ok - I'm just repeating what the biologists in the MO DNR - DoC say... AND there are no Mountain Lions in Missouri and Arkansas Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Members Mac's Orphan Posted June 5, 2015 Members Posted June 5, 2015 AND there are no Mountain Lions in Missouri and Arkansas ..and none in Illinois - but if you see one wearing a colored collar, call the DNR with location, time, date and note the collar color!! If I'd known I was gonna live this long, I would have taken better care of myself...
trythisonemv Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I am assuming that the mountain lion comment is sarcasm lol because we've seen them and recently one was hit on the interstate 44 corridor. First reported case if one being hit by a car in Missouri.
sfiser Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 ...and I'm glad MO does not allow felt sole waders / boots or it would be in all the streams and rivers there. I call it rock snot - and I hate the stuff. It will all but end a fishery and I doubt the White or Norfork tailwater would have many fish at all if not for the stockers. I used to find millions of sowbugs in the rocks but those numbers have dropped to almost nill. I have to disagree that the white wouldnt have many fish if not for stockers. We all know the rainbows are stocked, very few if any naturally reproduce. I will say the white is full of naturally reproducing brown trout and I mean full. I talked to some biologists who say the White has so many browns it cant hold anymore with the amount of available food and close to 75% of fish over 15" are naturally reproducing fish. Didymo hasnt had any negative effect on that. Fish adapt to thier enviroment and the browns have dont that. We dont catch a ton becuase they are smart but theres alot in there
