Members DavidB
It's great to be back on beautiful Table Rock. 9 of us arrived from Louisiana yesterday, for our annual trip. We really appreciate this forum, and all of the information that so many of you provide. I really believe that this is the best forum of its kind, and a big thank you to Bill. All of us had a really good day today. My partner and I caught 25+, and had 15 keepers, 13 of which were smallmouth. All on either a Carolina rigged speed craw, or The Ned. Another thanks to Dave for furnishing us with Ned Heads. We don't fish that style much on Toledo Bend, and it was really a kick to catch smallmouth on light tackle, on The Ned. Most of our fish on gravel or light rock, 8-12 feet deep, although some were caught "on the bank." All of our guys (4 boats) had good luck, and we look forward to the rest of the week. Table Rock is really special!!! Champ188

Members DavidB
We're fishing Long Creek from the Arkansas line to North of the dam, as far as Point 5. We're staying at Happy Hollow>

It makes LMB and Spots come out of empty water. I caught them good on it during a MAJOR cold spell at Toledo Bend last spring. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. Members swelbo1
I am in this same group that is up here and I have not really thought about doing that but I do have some places in mind that it will probably work.
Members DavidB
We wrapped up our trip yesterday, and had another great week on Table Rock. We caught a lot of fish, and more smallmouth than ever. We caught fish from the bank to 25 ft., and our most consistent action was on The Ned. Thank you, Dave! It's always a kick for us to catch smallmouth on light tackle. We were amazed at how many of our fish hit The Ned on the fall. We look forward to becoming even more experienced with The Varmint next year! Thanks again for the information so many of you provide, through the year. We follow along regularly, and your contributions always make our trip better!
dtrs5kprs
Great to hear things went well. Hope you had a safe trip home. Nothing quite like those brown fish on 6# line. Jim Elam
Members swelbo1
Thanks Dave. We all made it home safely, but just as we were leaving happy hollow, there was an incident with a deer and the front bumper of one of the guys brand new truck. Nothing bad for the truck, but probably not good for the deer. That was at 5:00 AM. There was a decent bluff bite when the bluffs had shade.
