Sheriff told me today that someone was probably trying to steal my trailer wheels and probably got spooked when they heard my motor at the dock. Probably had most of the lugs off because the threads were not stripped, but he did say they would patrol that area now more frequently. Gotta get a new axle and rim about 250.00 but my truck has 2,200 worth of damage. Thank goodness I have full coverage. Thanks guys for the replies. My dad knew I wanted to fish the full moon so we will be in his big bass boat, maybe when im 70 ill be able to afford one like that

Seems like every year we have numerous accounts of thieves and vandals Even fatalities at these locations ? My trailer had some one back into the side of fender and cave it in Where it aluminates champion Left there tail light lenses laying there also ? didn't even leave a note ? I don't see why these places Are not monitored For us ? Seems like a decent place to check liscense and creels ? for conservation use as well as law enforcement.

I like to personally ask other fisherman and our Corp regulated attendants and wardens to start paying some attention to these locations .

Ive seen wheels fall off vehicles when lugs didnt get tighened back up after someone changed a tire. Have you had that wheel off in the recent past? Were the lugs on other wheel loose when you checked it after accident? Just exploring all avenues.
