Ham Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I just want to be somewhere flipping canes. Venice in October would be my sentimental choice. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Guest Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Black buzzbaits work real well in the summertime. Ive actually watched a 5lb bass explode on a cardinal that landed on a low hanging limb afew years ago at hot lake. Bird got lucky that day.

Johnsfolly Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I remember Hula poppers and Jitterbugs painted to resemble blackbirds and sparrows. I don't think that they would have caught anymore or less fish than a standard black bait. I never did try one. I stuck with black or frog patterns.

Kayser Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I don't think this year's cicadas will be anything like the 2011 brood for the Missouri Ozarks. The two broods this year are more on the fringes, but the Kansans in our midst and those along the lower Mississippi should see some. Brood IV and brood XXIII are the 2015. Brood IV map.http://www.magicicada.org/about/brood_pages/broodIV.php Brood XIII map-http://www.magicicada.org/about/brood_pages/broodXXIII.php And the brood XIX map from 2011- http://www.magicicada.org/about/brood_pages/broodXIX.php WARNING!!
