Members alltelracer Posted May 16, 2015 Members Posted May 16, 2015 40 fish with 8 keepers. Fish were mostly shallow...less than 10 feet. They were busting shad most of the morning. I couldn't get bit with a top water. Picked up Ned and caught 2 keeps in first 3 casts. Stay with it most of the day. Secondary points seemed better than main lake. 3lb LMB and 3.3lb SMB. Muddy Water 1
dtrs5kprs Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Nice day. They don't all go out deep as fast as folks like to think . Bumble Bee 1
Quillback Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Great fish, those 3 lbers might be money fish today. I have yet to catch a Goggle on the Ned. Ham and jbooth24 2

Quillback Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 How is that POSSIBLE? Man, you got me. Maybe they are more plentiful in the clear water of the lower lake?
Ham Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 I am really NOT very knowledgable about TR especially about the different areas of the lake and how the different areas set up. I doubt I will EVER launch my boat in TR. I am always a guest when I fish TR and as a result I haven't thought about it the same way I do BSL or Norfork. The Dam area definitely has rock bass out the yin yang. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
dtrs5kprs Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 How is that POSSIBLE? Mouth open, same thought. Man, you got me. Maybe they are more plentiful in the clear water of the lower lake? Yes, but it is plenty clear up the White. I catch them on the gravel smallmouth places, and in brushpiles. They are kind of a river critter, you would sure think they'd be up there somewhere. Ham Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 The real mystery to me is the fact that I have NEVER caught a Ozark bass in Bull Shoals. I've fished lots of areas in Bull Shoals more than a few times and I know the creeks that feed Bull Shoals are ful of them. I've caught them In Norfork, but never on Bull. Crazy. Quillback Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 I've caught more trout in TR than Goggles. I am baffled. Ham 1
Champ188 Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 I can't recall ever having caught a goggle-eye above Kimberling City. And Donna and I have put in a lot of hours up there.
