Ketchup Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Met with Dprice today and picked up the recessed tray. After getting what i needed out of my work trailer, 30 minutes later it was finished, including vacuuming the carpet. They say it will help with back/shoulder issues as far as cramping, etc. Now come on Saturday so i can try it out. Thanks again D. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. rps Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 I see an old friend in those pictures. Looks like it fits right in.
Ketchup Posted May 28, 2015 Author Posted May 28, 2015 Yes it does. Deck looks less cluttered now, even with the Humminbird stashed in the corner. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
5bites Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 One thing I might suggest from personal experience is moving the pedal itself farther forward in the tray if possible. Your heel might catch the tray. This happens to me occasionally but I'm out of room to move mine. Sac River Jim 1
Sac River Jim Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 the tray was the best upgrade ive done to my ranger. it helps me with my balance and my back and knees dont get near as sore.

Im gonna take it out and see what position feels the best, mark holes while on the water, then fasten when i get home. Just standing on the deck while its in the garage is a total difference. the tray was the best upgrade ive done to my ranger. it helps me with my balance and my back and knees dont get near as sore. Thats what i hear, and why i decided to grab this from D. 8 hours at a time, not sitting at all during a normal day on the water for many years has given me what i call "fishermans body", where everything including my toes hurt. fishinwrench Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 I love the looks of them but I fish a lot of docks, which means I go backwards a lot, and having the pedal down in a hole makes that awkward for me.
5bites Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Wrench is right which is why I pointed out getting that pedal as forward as you can. Dock fishing has a whole lot of backing up in it. I wish my tray was just a tad longer for that reason. I really need to try and re-time my trolling motor too so I'm not pushing down as far to go backwards. I also considered shimming up the rear of the pedal some. Just some ideas.
